HiggX Edge Connector connects cloud-based platforms such as Quotation Factory with the ERP, CAM, and other operational systems running on-premises. It also supports event-driven integration through a local Unified Namespace, enabling workflows to respond automatically to events published across the factory.

Quotation Factory uses HiggX capabilities to coordinate work beyond the cloud. Through the Edge Connector, it can send supported commands into a customer’s local environment—for example, to exchange production data, synchronize articles and address books, initiate manufacturability checks, or trigger processes involving CAM and ERP systems. The connector receives these commands and orchestrates the required activities at the edge.

The Edge Connector can connect to a local Unified Namespace and subscribe to selected topics. When a relevant event is published—such as a new order, changed article, completed operation, machine-state change, or incoming manufacturability request—the connector can immediately trigger the corresponding workflow.
